Launch of Råderum’s social bicycle sculpture

With the social bicycle sculpture the biking trip becomes an artistic, playful, social and challenging experience.

in relation to the Cycle VM in Copenhagen Råderum – mobile office for contemporary art will launch the social bicycle sculpture. The bike is a vessel for joining people together in new ways and making space for creativity and play in public space – and at the same time a new statement in the debate about developing a sustainable city. The bicycle is for three people – if one is missing the bike does not work and you need to collaborate to get the bike running.

We welcome you to the launch of Råderum’s new Social bicycle sculpture Tuesday September 20th, 2011 at 16-18 on Jarmers Plads in Copenhagen.

Share your experience with others

Everyone can borrow the bike and to create a larger community for the biking trips Råderum encourage the cyclists to upload and share stories and pictures from their trip at Råderum’s Facebook-group. New users of the bike can find inspiration for trips at the Facebook-group. Later on Råderum will bring the stories and pictures together in a collection of bike maps.

During the fall 2011 Råderum’s sociale bicycle sculpture will join the Bicycle Innovation Lab as part of their bike library. Untill then you can borrow the bicycle from Miljøpunkt Amager. Please contact us at Råderum’s Facebook to book the bike.

The bicycle sculpture has been supported financially by Miljøpunkt Amagers Miljøpulje and Amager Øst Lokaludvalg.
